considering my source is: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39871584/C0020.mxf
Please go to my dropbox (user: firstname.lastname@example.org pass: centrale, folder: public) and download ffmpeg.exe / ffmbc.exe
so please do
1) ffmbc -i c0020.mxf -vcodec mjpeg -pix_fmt yuvj422p -sameq -vf colormatrix=bt709:bt601 -vtag MJPG -an 1ffmbc.avi
2) ffmpeg -i c0020.mxf -vcodec mjpeg -pix_fmt yuv422p -q:v 0 -vf colormatrix=bt709:bt601 -vtag MJPG -an 2ffmpeg.avi
3) ffmpeg -i c0020.mxf -vcodec mpeg2video -pix_fmt yuv422p -g 0 -q:v 0 -an -flags +ilme+ildct -alternate_scan 1 -top 1 3crocodileMPEG2.avi
1 and 2 are mjpeg
3 are mpeg2Iframe
What is the best result: 1, 2 or 3?
ps: add or remove colormatrix bt conversion depending on your monitor
Seems to me 1 (ffmbc) is the best clean.
psps: as decoder I use ffdshow (mpegINavi/mjpg)

Thread: Best decoder for source video?
There isn't a "best". It's a matter of personal preference. Choose which you prefer, which fits your desired usage, or by file size.Google is your Friend
BT.709 is for HD (> 1024x576) whilst BT.601 is used for SD.
Your monitor and your video drivers must be correctly set to accept both.
At this point, I would think that your preference would be determined by target device/system compatibility requirements...
