Originally I had an ADVC300 and an 8710 TBC. (both now gone)
I have a Panasonic S-VHS player ... and I want to carry out capture of a bunch of PAL VHS tapes a mix of VHS and S-VHS
Presuming as before I run Firewire direct into PC and use WINDV .... what hardware would be the best to get.
This is only a 'family' project on converting tapes .......... would appreciate advice on what to buy.
Post capture I will use Vegas Movie Studio to edit and then create DVD.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

From the other topic, DV is a compromise. To achieve that now you either get a capture device that outputs DV (???) or loop the video through a DV camera.
A better option is a dedicated capture device which allows you to capture lossless. -
In an effort for efficiency, I'll only reply on the other thread...
