But this area is a statiс, then why encoder / sensor prefer to replace him by another / alien specimen - logical?

By the way, Derf's 1080p Y4M source is a lot more detailed than the ProRes file.
ProRes format compact, and is preferred in modern home camera. Alternatives are not yet that I have not seen.

But also has a longer playing time (the ProRes MOV only has the last 2 of 10 seconds from the Y4M), a download of 1483 MB.
Complex 2 seconds have much to say / specify, and also for a fast encoding by reason the processor.

    param: preset tuning changes

    1. disable SAO in superfast

Recent changes have made --no-sao substantially faster than SAO, which has made ultrafast preset much much faster than superfast.
By disabling SAO in superfast, it is now roughly half-way between ultrafast and veryfast again.

    2. Enable weighted prediction for B slices in slower, veryslow, and placebo

Weighted prediction for B can sometimes be beneficial, so turn it on for slower encodes.

When SAO is disabled, the row bitstream is generated as CTU analysis progresses.
We must reset the row bitstream after a restart to avoid coding errors.
The CAABAC state is already reset correctly when CTU col 0 is re-coded.

    Hi
    Now used lightweight r-frames 5 and b-frames 8 (placebo).
One can observe as a fly printed / cloned on the tree (between a group of people), still is, the encoder prefers to replace static plots for the wrong/alien texture of the subsequent frames.
I pause this theme for a month.

But I am pretty sure you already knew that.

  13. Yes, I knew that the chance that these quotes were either from the mailing list or the changelog was high. Still posting quotes without a reference to the source is a bad habit.

Additionally, only the description of this specific patch is quoted, not of all relevant patches in between. The value of information may be limited. But well, the content of the image is not much related either... good to have builds released now and then, I know I am a bit late sometimes. I'm usually waiting for a reason. Like a "merge with stable". Or just another week gone...

Two more builds as "last week's results". There is a lot more parallelization going on. The last version (1.3+362) has different compiler warnings by GCC, depending on the variant...

Maybe you could make builds, say, once a week ?

Well, the thread is about x265 MinGW builds, the girls are-were just a plus. Perhaps you should not make it personal and try not to focus on that but on the builds because I'm quite sure there are more people missing the builds than the girls

I'll do. Even if there are compiler warnings (which are usually harmless, some compilers assume too much about the source, appear almost paranoid about what might fail, even if the developers are certain it will be very improbable).

Even for CPUs without AVX2 support (AMD Phenom-II X4), speed is clearly increasing again (just by general refactoring and removing superfluous calculations), even though in a low percentage only. But I would assume that the speedups for users of modern CPUs will be much more impressive, just counting the number of AVX2 patches in the last month.

    Салам,
    The same in VP9 > doom9

    ---

I look forward to when the video moguls will provide free video via donations - pay as much as you do not mind. Then piracy transformed into something new... And the internet / mobile providers agree to support this system (have their percentage of the tranche). The main thing is the convenience and accessibility.

Should be pretty stable, lots of bugfixes have gone into it recently and 1.4 appears to be right around the corner! Speed and quality have both improved since 1.3.
