Hi Im helping someone setup a analog pc capture set for a church service and was wondering what is the simplest setup to use with minimal post editing.
The camera - Panasonic AG-DVX100A
operating system - windows 7 64 bit with firewire port
Roland V8 mixer outputted to multiple screens via s-video
sound currently comes directly from a sound board to the Roland
The pc does have a copy of Nero 12
They would like to capture the service add a title and credits and burn then eventually upgrade with experience but right now they just want to start with the basics
They were recording to a Toshiba dvd recorder but seemed to have problems getting it to the pc for editing and dvd creation .
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

how are they hooked together? cam to v8 using svideo? then your options are limited. the v8 only has svideo out so you'd have to buy a analog to digital converter to get the video/audio into the computer to capture. loss of quality would happen.
you could try inputting the sound from the soundboard into the cam and using firewire to computer for capture. if you have good a/v guys they should be able to make it work, without messing up the audio out of the roland.--
