I am currently using 2.3 of DVDStyler. I into this error:
    Transcode/Remultiplex

    Error Transcoding of

    C:\P*te\testpilot.mpg

Then I used the beta of DVD Styler and got this error,

    DVDStyler v2.5 beta 4
    Windows 7 (build 7600), 64-bit edition
    FFmpeg: libavformat 54.21.2, libavcodec 54.41.1, libavutil 52.7.0

    Executing command: spumux -P -s 0 "C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Temp\dvd-tmp\menu1-0.mpg_spumux.xml"
    DVDAuthor:pumux, version 0.7.1.

    Default is DVD.

    -v <level> verbosity level (default 0)
    -P enable progress indicator
See manpage for config file format.

I used NTSC what is spumux? How do I solve it?

Is there a freeware authoring tool that allows for animations (mpg) in menus and doesn't transcode?
I saw something like this in the forums but they said use the beta. So I am! Thank you John

  2. spumux is DVDStyler's authoring program.

If it was DVD compliant it shouldn't transcode. If you're not sure what was wrong with it, maybe open that MPG in MediaInfo and check. If that doesn't tell you anything maybe post the text information here.

DVDStyler's sister authoring programs, GUI4DVDAuthor and DVDAuthorGUI both allow for motion menus. I use DVDAuthorGUI and make (already DVD compliant) motion menus for it all the time. Neither program has an encoder/transcoder associated with it.

I've never used DVDStyler and don't understand the report. Others here do use it and may be able to help.

DVDauthorgui is specified as 32 bit. Is that what you're wondering about?

While I definitely wouldn't try to install a 64 bit program on a 32 bit OS version, the reverse should be safe.

BTW while I haven't burned a video to dvd in a while, I tried a bunch of programs. DVDStyler was the worst one I tried. If you want animation in your menus, which I never did, I'd take manono's suggestion.

ID:	18045Hi all you nice People,

Given that the only thread I found was 8 years old. I still have a few questions:
Is there a way to "create" nav packets in a mpg file or do I have to use vobs?
What exactly are nav packets and how are they used?
Can VRD actually put nav packets in a mpeg file?
    Can this be done automatically?
Is there a fast easy to demultiplex a mpeg file?
This sounds kind of basic but....
Did the NAV packets not get created ? How do Nav packets get created?
Where in the file are they?
I am using GUI For Author, thank you.
