Soon I'll be buying the last piece of a PC...the video card. I dread doing this because all of the choices. I've narrowed it down to an Nvidia 660ti and an AMD/Radeon 7950. I chose these mainly because of the pricing and performance. This pc will be for future HD video editing and some gaming. My main issue is all the reviews I read generally seem to be very similar so I thought why not come in here and ask some opinions from users of videohelp. Anyone in here have either of these? What are your thoughts on the brands you might have? quality...reliability etc

    thanks

I have the evga 660ti sc and i prefer it over the 7950 just for the fact that it plays older games in hardware mode where as the radeon cards don't such as soul reaver and final fantasy 7.It plays most newer games in ultra high settings and others in high settings.

As for video editing either would be good enough for programs benefiting from graphics cards but workstation video cards are much better for that purpose.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
