    Hey there,

i'm new to videohelp.com and i'm having a problem like mentioned in the thread title already.
Some days ago i've downloaded some video's in flash format (.flv), however only one file could only be downloaded in mpeg4 format (.mp4) when playing the (mp4) video there is no sound being played.
Don't know for sure what the rootcause is or what i should do to fix... ?

    Please HELP, it's greatly appreciated

    Thanks

We need a little more info, first what media player are you using and also we need to see the specs of the file. Use Mediainfo and paste here (in text format) the specs. ps. We don't need the name of the movie (video)only the specs.

Use the program mediaplayerclassic home cinema to play the file. It has the internal codecs that most files would need to play properly. You shouldn't need to install anything separately.

However you should use mediainfo as suggested to verify what the file uses and make sure you have the codec installed for the future if you plan on getting more files of this type.

Please also note you might have gotten a corrupted file. You could try redownloading it again. Also I am assuming the original file played properly. Otherwise if there is a problem with the source file you will have to look for another version of it somewhere else.

  6. Are you sure that's the full summary from MediaInfo: There is no audio in that file to play.
Download it again. Look's like the download was incomplete or the file is corrupt.

Yes, thats the full summary. i've downloaded it again, but still the same summary. I've compared it with some other files and it's indeed missing.
