  1. I just watched that 3 times. Well done. I like the choice of camera angles and whatnot. Looks like you put a bit of effort into matting the quake guns onto the screen too. I made a similar video on my website with airsoft guns. Starts out a bit slow, but worth watching(especially if you like airsoft )

Great outfit and I really like the environment. One thing you might consider is changing the camre angles sometimes.

    The end was really nice.

  3. This was a spur of the moment type of thing (like most my stuff) and we spent about 10 minutes planning, then just went out and shot it. I had no idea I was gonna make this when I got up that morning. I'm working on another airsoft video that will be more planned, with different camera angles and stuff. Glad you enjoyed it. And you can't see it, but I had all that cammo and boots on too.

you must have DIVX 5.0.2 and mp3 layer to view it correctly.

    2. Looks nice, but I'm from Holland, and we don't like the red picture, in the first seconds (symbol of antisemitism)
    -I like the music (pub-music )
-Common used on TV, but very much overlooked by us video-editors...putting the screen on black, and only play sound...(end of video)

Slowing down at good moments, action at good moments.
Sound effects good. Nice use of the Dos screens to bring the Quake effect in this movie.

Like Helmut said, the movie looks great.
About the angles, I don't think you should put more different angles in the movie. It's a total different movie...longer. Changing angles 'speeds' the movie up, a thing you don't want in this situation.
And I like the clothes and environment too! Nice movie!

  14. I just shot a DV feature using Canon's GL1 (in "frame mode") edited with Pinnacle's DV500DVD with Adobe Premiere and it just got picked up by Spectrum Films for distribution (April release). See www.4321films.com to see a short QT trailer (it's on page 2). We've gotten some pretty decent reviews, too. Here are some links to see what other people have been saying about it:

Anyway, the point of this post isn't just to bump the topic back up to the top, its because I made another movie. Its a 27 second long movie promoting fonoop.com. It would make a good vcd intro, well, for me anyway. The music is none other than Robert Miles' "Children". I think you'll like it. This just shows the titling capability of Ulead VideoStudio 6.

  22. Robert Miles-Children was the music playing along with it. I think I mentioned it before in this thread, but being how its so long I can see how you can miss it. For all you people starting out, I'd use Ulead Video Studio. If your feeling cheap the beta version of windows movie maker for xp looks promising. I'd really stay away from premiere untill you're confortable with these programs or something similar.

I could'nt agree with you more.
Before Premiere I tried several programs, like videostudio, mediastudio, pinacle studio. If you want to start with editing movies, mind this:
    Videostudio
Easy to work with (works in steps)
    Easy exporting
No filters, and other difficult things
»This program is very good if you look at how much time you spend, and what you get
    Pinacle
    Not that difficult to learn
    Nice add-ons (creating menu's for dvd/svcd/vcd)
    Mediastudio
A lot more difficult to learn, but a lot more advanced compared to Pinacle if you use other Ulead program. But mediastudio on itself is still a good program
    Premiere
Yeah, let's say this is top-class. Actually it's not Premiere that makes this program the best, it's all because of the other programs of Adobe. Premiere combined with Photoshop and Premiere (and also some other programs) make this program the best available.

But! If you only use the videoprogram, and not combined with other programs, mediastudio will be the best ($$$), because of it's option. But Pinacle is real nice to work with, and it's getting better with the day.

My advise: start with videostudio, if you think it's enough, go on with it. If not you have to make a choise, but I think you'd better use pinacle or mediastudio first, and last Premiere (if you feel the need to)

And don't worry I'll be back to comment the movies, but I didn't know it went this fast, I wasn't notified of the new replies

I agree that Video Studio is a pretty good program. But remember, if you capture any video that has that annoying noise bar near the bottom and you need to crop the video to get rid of it, Video Studio does not include that function, although it is listed in the help file.

  27. haha, that was me. I'm the only person running fonoop.com. But my email should clear things up. Ulead Video Studio is simply a video editing program.
