Play VCD on fresh Windows Media Player

I'm converting a vhs tape using an AIW radeon. I've converted it to VCD with the recommended settings from this site and have burned it as a file and as a vcd disc using Nero 5.5.

The disc plays both ways with windows media player on my main system, but it won't on any other computer. I'm using the same OS (windows ME) on the other test systems. On the main system, I have several dvd players etc. installed.

The thing is, I want the file or vcd to play on any windows media player without installing additional player software. The systems will be using windows 2000 mainly.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a codec available maybe? or is there a format I should use to capture with instead of the mpg?

i think.... but it might jus be for windows below the 2000 and mill
