    I have an EasyCap capture card and im trying to use it to record my video gameplay footage. The software im useing for it is honestech VHS to DVD 2.0 SE (it's the software that came with it) but when i try to record, it just gives me a black screen but it dose record the audio.
    How do i fix it?

    Why am I not surprised?

    This is easily the 8th or 10th "Easycap problem" thread I've encountered in just the last 3 months.

    My recommendation: send it back and get a GOOD device instead.

    well i bought it back in 2011 and it worked fine back then. it just decided to punk out on me last year and i havent been able to get it to work since. is there any way i could fix it?

    The capture devices sold in the US as "EasyCaps" cost between $8 and $10 in 2011 from Amazon, while most other standard definition USB capture devices cost between $40 and $70. You got what you paid for, a low-quality product that doesn't last long.
