How can I change the .avi file header?

Hello everybody,
I have to change the header of an .avi file, from YUY2 to grey16b.
Someone can help me?

You can use any hex editor to change the fourcc. I don't know what the fourcc is for 16 bit greyscale.



And, of course, if the data isn't 16 bit greyscale you'll get garbage. And you'll need a decoder for whatever fourcc you use.

According to fourcc.org there is a 16 bit greyscale fourcc, "Y16 ". But I don't see any decoder for it.
