EPO 8212 movie shudders and distorts

my EPO 8212 dvd seems to be having some probs when i play my dvd's, so far into the movie it will become scrambled and slow down sometimes when i rewind it and start to play it again it will go away until a later time I use power dvd 3.0 as a program /viewer. The dvd player itself works fine for reading normal data disks can anyone help or point me in the right direction. Thanks :o

Sounds like your drive doesn't like that DVD. I'd like to say its the drive dying, but in my situation, it still works fine with every other dvd I've ever tried, and its going on a year 1/2 old. If yours does this for EVERY dvd you try, then its probably the drive.

When I first got my DVD-ROM, I had a problem like that with a certain movie (it would play the first 45 mins fine, but once it got to a certain chapter on the disc, it would stall and not play anymore). Putting the DVD into my normal dvd-player, it plays just fine.

I tried cleaning the DVD and the dvd-rom but that didn't help either. Chances are its just the drive and the dvd together not liking eachother
