  1. Hi.
    I've officially downloaded same film in 2 formats, WMV and MP4. WMV is 2.68gb, MP4 1.85gb. I've a 2 MPC mediinfo text files, please help to choose a video with better quality. Size and audio doesn't matter, i need high quality only.

  2. As usual, it's impossible to tell the quality from looking at stats like that. There's something wrong with the report for the WMV file -- there's no way it's really 1 bit per second.

    assuming that both files were encoded from the same source (i.e. not one from the other) then i would bet money that the vc-1 file at 1080p and 12mb/s would be of higher visual quality than the h264 file at 1080p and only 8mb/s, of course your eyes would be the best way to determine which one is superior.

    if you had the source you could use a tool that calculates PSNR and/or SSIM for each file and compare them that way.

    but ultimately, your eyes are the best judge.
