LG TV Monitor resizing issue

I recently got a 3D LG LED 47" HDTV and it looks great, but if I am fiddling on the internet and turn off the TV, then turn it on (now or later) it will re-size my internet window to like 1024x768 or something close to that. So everytime I turn it on I have to click the maximize button twice to make it maximized. It's just a real annoying issue that I'm hoping someone knows how to fix. Is there not a way to make it stay 1080p all the time? It worked fine with my old Vizio 37" tv.

I count 15 different LG 47" LED TV's starting on this page: http://www.lg.com/us/tvs . Is it at all possible that yours could be one of them?

I'll bet there was a user manual on CD-ROM in its shipping carton.

You might also note that your cable box has picture controls in its own menu as well. If it is a standard definition box, the image you're seeing won't fill the screen. If not, you should consult your cable box menu to output the proper image size, and consult your TV's control guide to set the LG so that it automatically adjusts images to the proper size and aspect ratio for the incoming signal. Many channels do not broadcast 1920x1080.

I wouldnt use a 3D TV as monitor anyway.

Where does the the Internet window come from? Is this a smart TV with its own Internet browser, or is the TV being used to display a browser window from another device connected via HDMI? If it is a smart TV displaying its own Internet window, you are going to have to provide a model number, and we are going to have to hope that the manual is available online.
