    Good Night Guys,

Is there a place I can go to see which laptop screen fits another? I have an acer aspire 6530 16" and the prices that i am now looking at are ridiculous, i would just like to know if there is a site that can show me the screen and which other laptops use it to better help me in my search for price and expediency. Hope to hear from you soon.

    Regards,

"Why is Abbreviation such a long word"?

If you don't get an answer here, I would advise you try the specialized ACER forum: http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/

Google for DIY. I got a new screen for a dell from a place in Canada (good service) and replaced myself. Very happy with the outcome.

Could you elaborate a little more, like the name of the site you ordered it from ?

DIY is pretty vague and comes up with a ton of stuff having nothing to do with a site you can order parts from.

Google. And read a lot about it.

  6. It is a simple matter of how long that particular size has been in production. The replacement screens, at lower prices, are "pulls" from warranty returns. It takes a while for these to reach the market, a newer design has not had enough time for large numbers of components to reach the used market.

Buying brand new is usually not cost-effective, as you have seen.
