converting MVK file to b/w

Hello,
any easy solution to convert an MKV to black and white? i want to change my HD mkv files of Walking Dead to b/w.
yes i know they are showing them now on AMC but i missed a few and i would rather do them myself.

use the tv remote and turn down the color setting to 0.

why anyone would want to watch the same episodes they have already seen in color again in b&w is beyond my comprehension.....

If you really want to reconvert and lose quality then use any good converter that can add filters. Like xmedia recode, under filters and grayscale. Convert.
