    Hello,

I am trying to digitize video8 footage from around 1992.
I've attached a screenshot from some capture.

I took the original camcorder apart (destroyed) in order to retrieve the tape.
I purchased a sony trv320 digital8 in order to transfer to pc via firewire.
The digital8 records and plays back new footage fine.

Is this vertical waving, horizontal lines and no audio due to the original camcorder's alignment?
Or is the tape damaged from the years?
Does anyone recommend a professional service that could try it in different machines to save?
    Thank you.

Was the tape recorded in LP mode? Looks like it could be the wrong speed. How does it sound?

edit: Oops, didn't notice you said no audio.
