  1. I've got a single raw I420 avi file and i need to convert it a raw RGB24 avi file! Video editing programs will not recognize I420 format, that's why i need to convert it. Is there a specific tool for this?

Super does not do this. Instead of RGB, there is BGR (same colors reversed - what is the difference?) and after conversion the video becomes FSV1 - not accessible in Corel VS for instance..

VirtualDub with ffdshow's VFW "Raw Video" i420 decoder, probably.

My understanding is that there ain't no codec. It's not encoded with anything, it's just some color format, like CMYK or RGB. As i said, i am talking about RAW, uncompressed files - no encoding is on them.

But whatever. Sony Vegas seems to read these files, so i am through with it.
