MKV (w/multi audio, subtitles, chapters) to DVD

I've browsed the forums and tools section but i wanted opinions..

I have a MKV that has the following when demuxed (using MKVExtract):

movie.mpg
audio-track1.ac3
audio-track2.dts
subtitle.idx
subtitle.sub
chapters.xml

I've tried AVStoDVD but for some reason some of the subtitles didn't show up and the color was gray instead of white. I'm experimenting with DVDSubEdit to correct the colors and vertical positions.


1. What is an efficient way & programs I can use to convert all of the above files to compliant DVD structure?

2. How do I convert or import the chapters.xml to the DVD? What are good or an all-in-one programs?

ConvertXtoDVD should pickup the subs (the only mkv files I have have srt subs so not sure about IDX) but it doesn't pickup the chapters rather it inserts it's own every x minutes. You could edit them however. Check on the number of chapters in the original and then set the fixed time in ConvertXtoDVD to make that many chapters and then edit the times.....

ConvertXtoDVD imported the chapters accurately when I imported the MKV file (not when demuxed). I manually imported the audio streams because it didn't pick up the DTS. The software did a good job outputting to DVD5 and DVD9.

I'll try AVStoDVD again and see how it goes. Thanks!
