We are currently using a green screen with two lights. We have additional light from the ceiling, making a hot spot on a sme's face. Is there any way we can soften this bright spot with Adobe premiere pro? I did not take a shot yet luckily. Any help would be appreciated.

    Sigh

You're better off nailing the exposure and getting the shot done properly in the first place . There is no excuse since you haven't even shot it yet.

If post work is your only option, then it depends how bad it is. You could use secondary color correction, luma key + compositing a darkened version . Sometimes you have to do some roto & mask work (easier in after effects)

Bounce the light off the ceiling or a foam board. Put some powder on the subject. Change the bulb, take one of the bulbs out, use a diffuser, make a bogo from aluminum foil. Use duct tape. There must be 100 options.

I'm sure some duct tape and posterboard can solve most anything.

    Can you post a still?

Thank you so much for the replies. I will keep that in mind. I will figure out what I can do about it.

There's a whole list of possibilities here:

As for what the OP means, I'm hoping it's Submucosal Mass Effect.

Really? Is that it? An alternative to saying "my face" is "a sme's"?

    "sme" is shorthand for "someone"

So "a sme" is "a someone"?

In which social circles is this a common "shorthand"? I'm curious!

    Texting, I'd guess.
