    I'm completely un-technical and video editing for the first time....on any software. So apologies in advance for a dumb question. I am working with Power Director 11.

    1. When i preview from the timeline (as a clip or movie) there is no sound.
    2. Final movie has no sound.

    BUT

    When i play the clips during a trim.....OR from the window of media content at the top (where i import media to), the original sound is intact.

    Would really appreciate some advice. Gone as far as online tutorials will get me.

    Original file name is AVHD and camera is Panasonic.

    No idea what AC3 audio is or how i know if i have it.

    Start by running a few of your files through MediaInfo and give us a post of the (Detailed) text output, then we can be on the same page as you...
