Issue with Portable Version of LAV Filters

I wonder if anyone can help me figure this out. I tried using the portable LAV Filters, but for some reason, it continues to show version 0.44 and does not appear as the most updated version and I'm trying to figure out if this is an issue on my end, or an issue with the software. This happens every time I try to use the portable version of the filters. When using the installer, everything works just fine, and everything shows as updated. What could be causing this issue?

1) Overwrite the old .ax files with the new .ax files

2) re-register the .ax files

Either you haven' done the steps above, OR something's broken in the settings of the operating system

I tried what you suggested, but no change whatsoever. It's very odd having this kinda issue. I have no clue what could be causing it.
