    Goddamnit, it can't be so hard, can it?
    I'm totally new to all this, but isn't there any program that can just simply let me add a song or several songs to the background of a mkv file. I don't want to screw around, just let me add it.

    Please someone help me out here.

    You can't just add it to the background. Video players can only play 1 audio track at a time

    Therefore you would have to demux the audio (e.g. mkvextractgui-2)

    Remix the audio in an audio editor (ie. add the background audio) e.g audacity , export the edited audio track

    Remux the audio track back in the mkv using mkvtoolnix (uncheckmark the old audio, checkmark the new audio)

    Audacity can't open the .ac3 file. Any other suggestion?

    install the ffmpeg import/export plugin for audacity
