    I have a mac 10.8.2...MTS files. I tried dragging a short MTS file in...convert to MP4 and another time MOV. All I got when viewing was a bunch of vertical green lines...no sound...gray backgrounds. HELP!

    Try convert to mov with mpeg streamclip.
