Have dabbled with the idea of Blu-ray to DVD disc and will try to see how quality is ... but how.
It's probably more to save money, so I do not need to buy a BD-R disc
Have made a full disc backup of a org. blu-ray with dvdfab. afterwards i made a BD-5 compress with BD Rebuilder, so the folder contains the film itself and menu extra materialle etc. output size 4.35
Then I have tried to burn my BDMV with ImgBurn on a verbatim DVD-RW. The burning process is fine but will not play either on my bluray drive in my computer or on my stand alone lg blu-ray player.
What am I doing wrong? Is it possible cheating the technique. Or am I forced into bying a BD-R media?

Thread: blu-ray to dvd
Not all blu-ray players supports blu-ray on dvdr or AVCHD.
Did you burn it like http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides/blu-ray-copy/260-burn-blu-ray-avchd-using-imgburn ? When you add the BDMV folder to the root folder imgburn should fix everything for you.
It should at least play on your PC provided you have true BluRay playing software AND you have the right version of Windows. So what are you trying to play it with? What version of Windows do you have? If you have XP or below, then part of your problem may be that you did not install UDFReader. Install that and see if it helps. Also, follow Baldrick's instructions for burning if you did not.
It seems like if i do a full disc back-up bd-5 with menu etc. it won't play, but if i do a movie only bd-5 it plays fine ??????notic..that its still on a dvd-r.
From other forums, they describe that a full disc back backup contains java files which make the bluray menus avalible...and these java files cant be regunized on ad dvd-r.
