  1. Hello, I am very new to using subtitles while watching movies on my computer.
Therefore, I am having difficulties changing the subtitles from Danish to English.
I already have the VobSub software and the film.avi film.idx and film.sub files, I am just unsure how to switch the languages in Subresync (do I have to save the files again? If so how?).

    I can't remember...I last used subresync 2005...

  3. You just want to change the label? Not the content? If so, open the IDX in Notepad and where it says 'Danish' and 'da' a ways down from the top, change it to 'English' and 'en'. From:

    # Language index in use
    langidx: 0

    # Danish
    id: da, index: 0

    to:

    # Language index in use
    langidx: 0

    # English
    id: en, index: 0

Why do I have the feeling that's too easy and not what you're asking? You can also remove any languages you don't want using VobSubStrip.

  4. Oops, sorry for posting it in the wrong section.

Haha, you were right! That's exactly what I was asking for, thank you so much for your help!

(One small note: because English was the second option in my .sub file, I set
    langidx: 2

    and

    id: en, index: 2 )
