  1. Hello!

I am wondering if it's possible to open GoPro footage (.MP4 files) in virtual dub and do some editing? I mostly just want to slow the video down etc.
Also what would be the best compression setting in VDUB? I downloaded Xvid a while ago and tried it, but I don't know if there are better ways to do it?

    Thank you in advance!

Easy man, download the mp4 plugin here for Virtualdub (make a folder named Plugins32 and extract there).

Open Virtualdub, File, Open Video file, Select Type, choose Quicktime files and select your file. Mp4 work now on VD.

Best compression?? Try the codec X264VFW, get here.

    Thank you!

So I downloaded the QuickTime / MPEG-4 (MOV / MP4) plugin by tateu and when I try to open one of the MP4 files there is an error saying: "Unable to Initialize Quicktime: InitializeQTML".
