I am working on a custom application that needs to capture streaming video. This application will have a preview window with two buttons, Record, and Stop. The video source is a camera that produces streaming video in H.264 format. The OS that I am working on in Windows 7 with GeForce GT640 video card. What is the best way to capture this video and store it in files on the computer? Which is the best/easiest library to work with. I am more familiar with .NET and can fumble my way through C++. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Do you want to capture this streaming H.264 Video programatically - i.e. by coding a tool to do this yourself
What player or application is going to be used to decode/display this video. Is it going to be a web browser or something else?
Do you want to use some commercial/otherwise tool to capture this video?
All these aspects above and more would decide how one can go about what you want to get done?
