  1. So I bought the new BDBOX of the Fate/Zero anime series which cost me a SHITLOAD of money (from here: http://www.fatezerousa.com/product-br-disc-box-2.php). I already had the DVDs but I wanted to get the 1080p versions so I could edit them since this anime's animation is so freaking amazing.
I had My BDs ripped by a friend and got a bunch of .mkv files which I'm okay with. I used MkvToMp4 to convert them to .mp4 and edit them in Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0 ... I insert the files in the trimmer after the conversion but it's all weirdish. Some scenes just play over and over, some others just don't at all, flashes etc. are removed! I get them on the timeline and RAM preview but they are just uneditable.
The converted mp4s are all fine though when I play them in any players ! Can anyone help please?

These are the project properties set in Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0 when I try to edit the files :
    HD 1080-60i (1920x1080; 29,970 fps)

Here is some info on the mp4 files from mediainfo:

  4. I tried the files in After Effects and they work just fine in there. I can't understand what the problem is with Vegas Movie!

  5. It is mpeg2 file, not sure you try to put it into mp4 container, use TS video file ( use tsmuxer ) . If TsMuxer will not load audio, load it separately into Vegas , but in some container also! , Vegas might not load separate stream.

  6. Problem solved.
I did what I usually do in hard times, which is using Handbrake.
Converted the .mkv files with Handbrake and everything works like a charm.
Thank you guys very much for replying, reading my messages and attempting to find a solution.
Wishing you a great New Year's celebration and happiness, health and prosperity!
