I am looking for the best lossless encoding video editor. Basically, I want to trim videos and do other editing stuff without sacrificing the quality of the video. I've used CutAssistant, but it seems to only be accurate within 3 frames and only works on AVI files.

It depends on the type of video .
Some types of video cannot be edited completely losslessly (e.g. Long GOP video) . Only I-frame only video can be trimmed completely losslessly. At least the few frames within that GOP have to be re-encoded (thus quality loss in those frames) because those frames rely on other frames (each frame isn't completely independent, like I-frames) . Editors that can do this have feature called "smart rendering" e.g. solveigMM video splitter
If you have a long GOP length (e.g. xvid or h.264 typically can use somewhere between 1-250 ), that's the degree of frame accuracy for non smart editors, because they can only cut on GOP boundaries (which can be huge inaccuracies as you can see)
Awesome, I never knew that. So what some good lossless encoding video editors that can handle multiple formats, not just AVI?
Also, is Adobe Premiere capable of performing this task on videos that can be edited losslessly with CutAssistant without loss in quality at all?
Ok, thanks so much for the fast reply.
