  1. Hello,

I purchased the Samsung HT-E6750W (BD home theater system) (Region 2), here in the Middle East. I was able to make the player region free for DVDs by following the link: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/samsung-ht-e6750w/11918

However, I was not able to unlock the regions for Blu-rays, to play region A or C. Is there a way to hack it?

appreciate any help I can get.

Count yourself lucky that you even got it region free for DVD playback. Most Samsung players sold in the world CANNOT be unlocked. But there's no way to unlock your player for BluRay region free playback. Sorry. It's DVD region free only with Samsung BD players and even that is rare.

  3. Thank you for your feedback. So I assume that making a BDP region free for BD is hardware modification only?

Generally you do need hardware modification to make a BluRay player region free for BluRay playback. I've heard of a few Philips players that could be made region free for BluRay playback without hardware modification, but I don't remember any specific models. Insignia sold some BluRay players in the USA and Canada that could also be made region free without a hardware modification if you had the right firmware on the player.
