  1. How to recover deleted video from toshiba rd xv48dt hard disk?

Please help, this was a "once in a lifetime" kind of recording.

I've accidentally deleted a video file on my toshiba rd xv48dt.
I need to know how to recover the file.

I have file recovery software on my pc, but even though it is recognised in the BIOS,
my pc (windows XP) doesn't seem to recognise the format of the hard disk.
Nor is the disc recognised with a usb caddy (windows XP on PC & windows 7 on laptop).

No changes to the disk have been made since the accidental deletion.

This type of topic is quite common (usually people want to transfer direct from the hdd) but I do not think a solution has ever been found.

The Hdd's on dvd-recorders use a low-level proprietory format which is incompatable with PC systems.

Once a recording is deleted it is gone. There is no return.
