TMPGEncoding Authorworks

I am using the tmpg authorworks to author a movie. It authors and encodes at the same time. I have an avi that has a DD 5.1 soundtrack. When I read the file into tmpg it says it is only a DD 2Ch audio track. Any ideas how to fix this?

Can you select an external audio source file in tmpgenc authoring works?

If so can you try extract the ac3 from the avi with Pazera Free Audio Extractor or virtualdubmod and then load it.
