    I am trying to make a video out of two image files. one png and the other jpeg. but the movie comes out blank and dark. this is super annoying. any ideas?

    2 images...that is one awfully short movie!

    Seriously, what are you trying to do with those images?
    Wmm is certain to not be the best app if you are trying to create a video that consists of a looped still. Vdub is better.

    Yah windows movie maker is crap. I ended up using videopad editor. It was acting up as well but at the end it made it.
