    Thanks for that.

    h264/AVC.

    I have NEVER got any vid with that codec to load in old Ulead programs.

    So the only question that now remains is did the OP actually load these vids in to Ulead ?

    Maybe there was a utilty/driver that came with the camera that did just that. I do not think that Ulead uses ffdshow. It just says "No video data"

    It sounds like you don't have admin privileges to alter files, go to UAC in Control panel and turn it off to give yourself full access.

    If that doesn't help then go buy the newest version of VS, it supports everything.
