I have a video dvd of ALL files of kind:
*.BUP
*.IFO
*.VOB
and want upload the clips to youTube.com ... how can convert to one of compatible formats?
DVD IS LOADED/STARTED WHEN INSERTED, WITH 4 OR 6 WINDOWS OF IMAGES, TO CLICK TO START THE CORRESPONDING VIDEO...

Use vob2mpg. Open that folder and make a single mpg that you easily can upload.

mpg is the most lightweight format as of disc space(MB)? if not what format is that?

If you want a smaller format must you reconvert(vob2mpg just "remux" all vobs to mpg). Use for example handbrake and convert the dvd folder to a mp4 with h264 video.
Youtube will do that for you...but you might have a slow internet connection and don't want to upload several GBs of video.
