  1. Hi there,

    This is my first post. Some one send me mp4 videofiles and the files work perfectly at her computer. But: at mine there is no sound/audio or on some files just less and very quiet. I tried to convert, i played it with VLC. The problem seems that there are more audio tracks and the most important track does not work.

    I have codecs installed: AC3, ffshow, OGds. I want to edit the files in Premiere Elements 10. That's all I tried, so I hope you have al the information to give me the best advice.

    vlc doesn't need any of those silly external codecs to play mp4 audio.

    Install mediainfo, open the file, post info from the text view mode.

    Maybe VLC Media Player isn't happy to play PCM audio in an mp4 file.
    Try a different media player, such as SMPlayer.
