Need help finding out how to recreate a video effect

Hello videohelp.com people I need your help figuring out how to recreate a video effect i've seen in a music video recently. I need that effect because i'm working on a project and i find it very helpful for what i have in mind(it has to do with subliminal messages and stuff)
So here is te video i'm talking about:

I'm interested in that text cascading over the video like you can see @ 0:07/0:22/0:25/1:49 and also the film roll effect seen @0:23
Any ideas how i can get the same effect for my video ? I would really appreciate some help.

Those are motion graphics composited on top.

You need to make up that stuff ahead of time with a premultiplied alpha, or a black background and use an ADD. Your NLE needs to support special compositing operators. Like Vegas Pro.

Vegas can easily animate the motion graphics, but it's not in a template or menu, you have to actually make it yourself by whipping up something in a paint or raster application. Or you can Google for some elements and gray scale them.
