I recently purchased a Pioneer DV-440, and I noticed that when I try to play a multisession mp3 disc, the player only sees the mp3s that I burnt during my first session. Anything else that was burnt during other times, the player doesn't see those mp3s. I put the exact same cd in my other dvd player, a cheap Electrohome, and it plays ALL the mp3s fine. What the heck is wrong with my Pioneer DV-440?

After having a closer look in the manual , there is a line that tells :
>> just play first session << , so nothing is wrong with your player...
Oh my gosh! You're right, it says on Page 4 of the manual that "this player is not compatible with mutilsession discs. If you try and play a multi-session disc, only the first session will be played." BOO!! Does that mean I paid the extra $$$ for a player who's biggest feature is a big name, while my girlfriend paid $129.99 Canadian for a player that has a small name (Electrohome EH8181), has Macrovision off, plays BOTH NTSC and PAL, AND multisession mp3 discs? Argh. I should've bought that one instead then. What do you guys think? Did I get ripped off?Originally Posted by DaHooD
I bought the Pioneer 440 and feel cheated too. I am having trouble with some DVD that my old Toshiba played with no problem.
Pioneer was the best 2 years ago. Now every one else have caught up and actually have left Pioneer behind. You get more bang for buck even with big names like Toshiba, JVC, Panasonic. Pioneer is trying to ride on their name. Their progressive scan farce is another example.
:P
The prices of blank cds were so low that you can burn another cd and don't use multisessions, *g* , but in the other way when u can get awesome players cheaper why don't try ?
Keep smiling
