You'll get faster response directly from jdobbs there.

edit: likely the first advice will be update to 0.40.10 as the issue may be fixed already.

You can manually set the value it compresses to. Go to Settings -> Setup and change Custom Target Size to a value like 21000 Megabytes and see if that gives you a value under 25 GB.

There is probably a bug related to your particular BluRay. jdobbs himself is fine. However, Doom9 is not. If your BD disc is some kind of music video for an Asian singer who is essentially unknown in Western Europe and the USA, jdobbs will not have a realistic way to get a copy of your BD disc for testing. There is also a good chance that your attempt to point out a problem may get a lot of responses from unhelpful people who say it's your fault for not setting it up correctly. BD Rebuilder has bugs and jdobbs admits it, but his fans on Doom9 act like it's perfect and it never makes a mistake. It is rather random as to whether jdobbs will be interested in your problem or not. If you are lucky, he will be. If you are unlucky, he will never reply to your post and no one who does reply will say anything helpful.

Then you have no choice but to go to Doom9 and ask for help. Pray that jdobbs cares about your problem. Again, if this is a video of an artist who's only popular in Asia (or to put it another way, the BD is not available outside of Asia) there may not be much he can do even if he pays attention to you.

I do have one more suggestion. By any chance did you set it up to remove any audio tracks or subtitles? I have seen BD-RB fail to compress enough when you do that due to a bug. Make sure that ALL the audio tracks and subtitles are left alone and I mean ALL as in EVERY ONE OF THEM. Then re-run BD-RB and see if it makes it small enough.

    Hi asiafan

Did you change the custom target size to e.g. 20,000 in settings --> setup ?

    Cheers

Do you know a way to make an "expired" version continue to work? I do not.

  9. Changing your computer's day/date should do it. I had to clear the CMOS a few weeks ago due to a power outage, and until I set the correct date, I got the "expired" message.

Agreed about Doom9, they're not about helping people. I've been a member for years and have never posted there. Still, there's a good deal of useful information to be had there, if you know what you're looking for.

Dunno about your specific problem though, sorry.

asiafan - DBrebuilder defaults to movie only backup on new installs. This is why it can't find the extras. You have to change the settings to tell it to do a BD-25 backup to find the extras.
