Hello,
I am a neophyte. Here's the problem I'm dealing with. I burn DVD's to avi or some equivalent computer format. I crack the code with "anydvd" & use "freemake" to convert the dvd. When I play it back from time to time the video freezes or gets "warped" while the audio continues...& after approx from 3-15 secs the video "catches up". It's a persistent problem that seems to get aggravated with action oriented scenes. How can I solve this? Is there a better program to use??

hi and welcome to the forums. there are lots of other freeware programs you can try out. check out the tools section in the left column. like these. https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/dvd-to-mp4-avc-h264 i'd say try out vidcoder to start.
