I have just bought a box set from the states but it is region 1. My dvd is region 2, DS-306a, does anyone know how to get it to play all regions.

    Thanks

What's the manufacturer of this player?

Basically if you have to ask for an unlock code, one probably doesn't exist but definitely post back with the manufacturer's name. Many DVD players cannot be unlocked. You can always rip the DVDs and reburn them to new discs. Ripping removes region coding. Since you have a region 2 player there's a good chance it can play region free NTSC DVDs but it's not 100% so you'd just have to try to see what happens.

We have a lot of guides under "DVD backup" that tell you how to do this. Here's one of them:

There is no hack listed for your player.

I suggest that you use the free DVD ripping tool from DVDFab HD Decrypter to make region-free copies of the discs. Although you are in a PAL country, most DVD players over there can handle NTSC (not so where the situation is reversed; i.e. PAL in an NTSC country). In your case, the region encoding should be the only obstacle you will need to overcome.
