I just signed up for a service that lets me listen to streaming audio of archived radio broadcasts. A pop up window pops up and it says Media Player-Windows Internet Explorer. Is there a way to save this audio to my hard drive as an mp3 file?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Try either StreamHijacker or StreamTransport. I don't do this much, but I've been able to use one or the other in the past to save audio streams. However, I think they just save the streams as they are, so if it's not MP3 you will have to convert after saving. But that is the easy part. Saving the stream is the harder task. If for some reason you can't get either to work, you'll likely need to use a commercial solution like ReplayMediaCatcher.

Thanks. How large will these files be for something around 3 hours?
I wonder if Audacity will work for this as well and would it be easier?Last edited by kschwi; 25th Apr 2012 at 14:30.
