    I'm Using a Canon XF 100 @ full HD.
I'm looking to do some macro recording, Bees Insects and some general close up work.

I cant afford a posh Macro lens and dont want to buy the cheap lens attachments.
I have therefore decided on a mid priced attachment and as I have always been happy with Canon stuff.

My search has narrowed down to either the Canon 250D or 500D.

Can anyone tell me which one to get and why? All I can find is alot of wierd numbers spouted by still photograohers that make no sense to me!!!
My current Lens is the standard XF lens and has on it 4.25-42.5mm.
I know nothing about focal this that and the other and dont care, I just point and shoot and would like to point a bit closer so any help without the math would be good!!
    Thanks!!

they are both discontinued products. neither was designed for your lens, it's range is too big.

if they were still available i'd say get one of each and experiment with the 250d at short lens shots and the 500d with tele lens shots. this old canon gl-1 version might work.
