    Hello,

I have encountered issues watching BluRay Rips from my Samsung Tv's (55D6000) built in media player. I'm currently playing with sharing from Windows Media Player but that doesn't support MKV.

Are there other streaming server software choices besides Windows Media Player that work as well but would include MKV? I'm also looking to disable transcoding to preserve quality.

    Thank you!

Best way to go is with a media player like the WDTV Live+ or others.
    Have a good one,

  3. Serviio works fine with MKVs and most other formats on my Samsung.

Serviio is EXACTLY what I have been looking for! I can't thank you enough! Working great pushing high def movies to my tv without transcoding and performing great! So easy to use.

Glad that Serviio works for you but it'll still transcode on the fly like other streaming software, something you stated you didn't want in your OP.

Thanks Neo. There is a setting in Serviio I have unchecked regarding activating Transcoding. Assuming I am understanding it correctly I believe TS is off.

Glad it works. And, that built in media-players have come a long way.
