  6. Apples, but they have to have the right amount of tartness. Braeburn are a good variety, Pink Lady is pretty good too. Pears are wonderful if they are not gritty and have sat out for a couple of days -- not crunchy like an apple, but not all mushy like an overly ripe pear either.

This was a tough choice since I like most fruits, but I'm going to have to say strawberry.

  12. Tough choice. I eat Apples several times a week, but mostly because we buy a lot, or we go apple picking and they keep well, so I said apple.

I listed tomatoes. With a name like Tony how could I not? What would Italian food be without tomatoes?

However, locally, when they're in season, avocados sell for 60 cents each. Can't go wrong with that.
This is the beginning of spring and for the next 30 days strawberries sell for $1.00 a lb. Again, can't go wrong with that.

This time of year it's Mexican food time.

That includes tomatoes, avocados for guacamole and strawberry margaritas.

I only buy strawberries this time of year.... but I will buy a lot of them.. and this time of year they are my favorite
