    Hi everyone,

I just purchased a Canon HF G10 camcorder and am playing around with the settings and taking practice videos. I notice when I play them back on my Sony Vaio that the video is choppy and not smooth when I pan from scene to scene. Maybe its the way I set it up? does anyone have suggested settings that i can begin with. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Jack

you might try panning slower. it has a cmos sensor and it's probably rolling shutter distortion you're noticing if it's just visible during camera movement.

Do you see the problem when playing the video to a HDTV? If so it is a camera/operator issue.

If it plays OK on the TV, your issue is player related. Which player are you using?
