  1. We have a new baby and want to email video clips we took with our JVC camcorder. THey come off the JVC as MOD's and even though they are under 100mb they still won't email. I would like to convert them to a format that is more easily played on their computer as well. I'm so frustrated that the clips don't come off the camcorder ready to go. Please help!!
I have Windows Vista, Photoshop, & Nero 7 Ultra. Can I use any of those to get the job done? If so, how??
    Thank you!

It's a sod. My JVC spits out .TOD files. Must be an older camera.

    Grab the beta version.
Make sure you read the requirements.
I downloaded and installed KL QuickTime Alternative 1.81

Run MPEG Streamclip and open the clip.
    Select File/Convert to MPG
    I also selected File/Export Audio (MP3, 44100, 48kbps) for use in Virtualdub.

    Try Nero with the MPG.

Or just try an all-in-converter like format factory, freemake video converter and convert to a wmv or mp4 or avi. Lower the video bitrate to get smaller file size.

  4. I'm sorry but I am obviously way behind you guys when it comes to computers! So was that a yes or no that I could accomplish converting with Nero7 Ultra or Photoshop? I would like to avoid paying for another program if I don't have to.
Any way I could get step by step instructions on how to get this done? I would really like my mom to see my son on video laughing asap.
Thank you both for responding so quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every program mentioned is FREE. If something is going to cost we'll say so. (unless we forget. )

    Na! The advice still stands.
It's been a while since I changed my methodolgy.
I'm going to check out the programs recommended by Baldrick.
I just may be behind the times.

Why email? upload it to a file hosting site, such as mediafire.com,
send them the link and they can download it from there.
