How to make VirtualDub recognize FLAC?
I mean when I select
"Audio"->"Browse for audio..."
I can select some other containers (wav,mp3,ac3...), but not FLAC.
Is there some kind of plugin?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

WAV is a container, whereas MP3 and AC3 are compression methods.
Yes, there exists a FLAC ACM decoder, however I don't know how well it works. -
There is no way (at this moment) to open FLAC audio (from external .flac file) in VirtualDub.
Except of course, imports through Avisynth script or DirectShow import driver - but that way you get uncompressed audio in VirtualDub.
No.
BTW
It seems that you are using old VirtualDub - probably VirtualDub-MPEG2 (which is discontinued - superceded by input plugins).
When I checked... encoding somehow works, but decoding not well.
Also... this does not provide ability to open .flac file.VideoAudio.pl - Serwis o technologii wideo & audio -
Now you can import it.
First remux the flac file to mkv then import with the Matroska input plugin.Codec Toolbox RS (A tool to read/change merit of codecs and many other things)
