  1. Hi everybody,

I made some MTS videos with my cam, but they don't really worth the 3GB+.
So i have dowloaded 2 converters (wondershare and xilisoft) and trying to convert it to smaller format. (should i use other converters?)

I don't care how long it takes, but i would like to use a compressed format, that has the best quality.
I have asf, divx, h264. xvid, mov and mkv formats in the lists.
Which should i choose? Or do you have a better idea?
I'm not planning to play these on DVD player, mostly just on PC, but i will probably want to be able to play it in 10-20 yrs.

    Anybody can help me pls?
(and sorry for asking such a n00b question here.

try the free vidcoder. set the container to mkv, it should be around for a while. inside it will be 264 encoded video. use the high profile.
